Art Alchemy Is Open for Registration

Dear Wonderful, Creative You:
At the end of 2019, I thought about what I wanted to offer in 2020. I thought about what you needed most in your art practice. I thought about what I needed too. And as I reflected on your feedback in classes, the blog, social media, and via beautiful, personal emails, I found that we wanted the same things – an opportunity to create, not just alone in our art spaces, but together. We want an art practice that provides us with solace and a release in our studio, but also one that brings us together.

And let’s be honest, as much as there are times when you sit down to create and cathartically bust out an explosion of creativity, more often, coming up with ideas and learning new techniques all by yourself can feel like a burden.
To help you with this, I’ve got a series of live masterclasses for 2020, and this first masterclass is called Art Alchemy.

We will be creating several art journal pages together LIVE. I’ll show you techniques that you can mix and match in different ways to yield a series of pieces that are unique to you. You’ll have new ways to release, express, and explore in your art journal. (And….for a limited time, I’m offering a 20% off early bird registration coupon: Earlybird20)
Over the span of two hours, we will use a variety of skills, work between a number of different pages, laugh, get painty, and pave a new path for your art journaling practice that is playful, forgiving, and meaningful. And the best part is you can keep the recording.

Get ready to get free in your journal – layering paint, pattern, and text.

When you sign up for Art Alchemy, and any of the live masterclasses, you’ll get:
+ A LIVE masterclass where you can create and ask questions in real time.
+ Lifetime access to the class recording.
+ Class PDF with your full lesson, materials lists, and inspirational photos
+ Facebook Pop-Up Community with a group of creatives like you
+ Bonus PDF: Perfectionism is Ruining Your Art
+Bonus Recording: Finding Creativity in Your Life (Recording)
TAKE ADVANTAGE OF EARLY BIRD PRICING! For a limited time, I’m offering a 20% off early bird registration coupon: Earlybird20
I can’t wait to create and connect with you next month!
Creatively Yours,
Åmy

Hi, Amy,
This course really speaks to me, and I would love to join. I’m always worked on improving my backgrounds. I just love how your cover photo looks like fabric being woven out of bridging.
However, family commitments at up in the air at this time, so I regretfully have to decline this class. All the best, dear Amy, and well done creating such a glorious sounding course. Aline
HI Aline – Oh you are so sweet. I’m so happy that you are feeling the vibe of this class. You can certainly wait for the next live one if that speaks to you. Given that it’s a new format though, I want to make sure you realize it’s recorded, so you keep the 2 hour lesson, even if you cannot attend live.
All the best,
xo Amy
Hello Amy,
This is just what i was looking for. All my artistic aspirations have leaned towards photo
realism and i desperately want to become less structured and spontaneous. I know i would enjoy
your class but do not have the technical equipment. Maybe next time. i have
thoroughly enjoyed your other complimentary lessons which have sparked a flame
which i know will become a blaze of future experiments.
Hey Marlene – OH I’m so happy this class speaks to you. (It speaks to me too 😉
What’s needed for the class is an ability to either tune in for the live, or to view the replay video. There’s also a 1 week pop up Facebook group where you can share your work. Hope that helps, and I’d be happy to assist in any way I can.

What is the class size for this? I realize that since it’s virtual, it certainly can be larger, but am wondering about how asking questions in real time will work if the class size is large? thanks!
Hi Lisa:
The structure we use to answer questions will depend on our lovely group. If it’s on the smaller side, less than 20, then I’ll probably take questions as they come. But even then I’ll probably do a bit of demo, ask if there are questions, and keep advancing in that way. If the group were bigger than 20, then I’d keep an eye on the chat, but also make pauses for questions. The beauty of a group is that most of the time a question that one person has, someone else does too. Then with these masterclasses, you can also watch the replay at your own leisure and continue to practice along with the video, which some folks love. I’m here if you have any more questions, and would love to have you.
Xo Amy
Can you tell me what is involved technologically, ie, what kinds of things will we need to know how to do with the
computer????
Thanx lots.
Hi Phyllis:
Sure, gladly! We will be on Zoom, so you just download Zoom on your computer if you haven’t already, and follow the link I’ll give you. I’m happy to do a test call with first timers a day or week in advance of the class too so we are sure you are all set day of! I’m here if you have any other questions. xo
