Art Journal Flip Through: Handmade Tunnel Journal
Hello Wonderful, Creative You:
I’m so excited about the work I’ve been doing lately, I wanted to share another flip through video with you. I hope you like them too! This Fluid Art method has been wonderful for me because it’s so time effective. It really facilitates spending as much or as little time as I wish creating. I can paint, make journals, or just embellish the mini masterpiece paintings.
If this technique has you inspired, check out my new class, Fluid Art. It’s on pre-sale until Sunday, July 9th. You can click here to check out the video and learn more.
Art Journal Flip Through Video Resources:
- If you are interested in learning more about the paints I use to create these vibrant little paintings, check out Golden High Flow Acrylics.
- If you are curious about the accordion journals, the Strathmore Mixed Media pad is the strong, beautiful paper I use to build them.
- To make all the circles and windows, you can use an Xacto knife, but I’m in love with the ease of these hole punches.
- You can see my last post about my Fluid Art work and The Simple Art Technique I Just Can’t Stop Doing here.
Making Your Own Tiny Journals:
This has me wondering, if you were going to use hand made journals this way, what would you make? And, if you are taking the class or even just thinking about it, what are you most hoping to learn? How might working small change how you approach your art? Tell us about it in the comments, and please share this post with someone who would love it.
Creatively Yours,
Amy

Thank you so much for the video – so helpful to see how the book moves and behaves, and a great version of the usual tunnel book. I’m in the process of a very long term project, called “52 Books” – am I mad? And I’d like to include at least one tunnel book. Of course I won’t use just circles, as you have. I may do some animal eyes, perhaps. Now I’m even more enthused!
This sounds amazing, Annie! I can’t wait to see what you are making. Feel free to include a link in your reply here.
Happy Making!
Amy
